What you get from Adult BJJ
A real workout you'll look forward to
Every class works strength, cardio and flexibility while you learn something new, so the hour goes fast.
Practical self-defense through technique and leverage
Learn positions, escapes and control, drilled with a partner until they feel natural.
A reset after a long day
For one hour, the only problem is the one in front of you. It's a good way to clear your head after work.
The fun of getting better
BJJ is a puzzle you solve one technique at a time, and every class you notice a little more.
Optional competition
Some of our students compete in BJJ, and it's always optional. It's there if you want a goal to train for.
Two weeks of unlimited classes plus a FREE uniform. No obligation to continue.
What a class looks like
Every new student starts the same way.
- Step 1 · 45 min
Beginner Fundamentals
Technique and drilling only, with no live rolling. Coaches teach each move step by step, and you drill it with a partner.
- Step 2
Earn your first stripe
We recommend staying in Fundamentals until you earn your first stripe. Then you are ready to step up.
- Step 3
Add controlled rolling
After your first stripe, you move up to longer classes that add controlled rolling. Our competition class is 1 hour 15 minutes, and competing is always optional.
Beginner Fundamentals is labeled on the schedule. See current class times.

What our students and families say
Read our reviews on Google · Facebook
"I signed my daughter up after a women's self defense seminar. She is enjoying the 'chill' atmosphere and patient instruction of Professor Hendrickson in the BJJ Fundamentals class. It has already increased her confidence and self-awareness."
"As an adult just getting started, this staff has been amazing. The teaching is on point and you have options both day and evenings. I am not training for competition and this is still a great place to work on new skills. Highly recommended !!!!"
"Master White the owner, Mr. Stephen, the instructors, and Natalie couldn’t get any better. … It’s truly a place for learning and friendship for life."

Beginner questions
Still have a question? Call or text 706‑352‑1195.
Do I need experience?
No. Start in Beginner Fundamentals, where coaches teach each technique step by step.
Do I have to spar right away?
No. Beginner Fundamentals is all technique and drilling, with no live rolling. We recommend staying in Fundamentals until you earn your first stripe.
What do I wear?
Your gi is FREE with the trial. For the first class, wear comfortable athletic clothes, and bring water.
Gi or No-Gi? Should I train both?
Gi classes train in the traditional uniform, with collar and sleeve grips. No-Gi trains in a rashguard and shorts, with no gi grips and more focus on body control. Belt promotions happen in the gi, so No-Gi does not earn belts. Many students train both, and your two-week trial lets you try both. See Adult BJJ (FREE uniform) and Adult No-Gi BJJ (FREE rashguard).
Do No-Gi students earn belts?
No. Belt promotions happen in the gi. No-Gi is great training on its own or alongside gi classes, and you can add gi classes any time.
Can I start after 40?
Yes. Go at your own pace, and tell your coach about any injuries so they can adjust drills for you.
Can I try both TaeKwonDo and BJJ?
Yes. Your two-week trial lets you try both TaeKwonDo and BJJ classes. Ask us which classes fit your age.
What happens after two weeks?
There's no obligation to continue. If it's a good fit, we'll go over membership options with you in person.
